Your patience is rewarded with this low & slow recipe.  The smoked pineapple & brown sugar in the Ginger Goat - Original Goat hot sauce gives you all the sweetness you need to get that gorgeous caramelized crust.  This is a staple in our fridge.  We use it in our quiche & wrapped brie recipes, but it's just as amazing as a standalone item on your favourite charcuterie board as well.
 
                      Ingredients
- 
1 Red Onion 
- 
1 Sweet White Onion 
- 
1 TBSP Butter 
- 
1 TBSP Olive Oil 
- 
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder 
- 
            
5-6 shakes of Ginger Goat Original Goat Pineapple & Ginger Hot Sauce 
- 
Salt & Pepper 
Directions
- Slice onions into thin strips 
- Melt butter & oil in frying pan over medium-high heat
- Add sliced onions to pan 
- Sprinkle with garlic powder 
- Add Ginger Goat - The Original Goat hot sauce
- Add Salt & Pepper to taste 
- Cook over medium high heat just until onions start to form a brown crisp
- Lower to medium low and cook until onions turn a deep golden brown (approximately 1 hour)
